Boilerplate

ETRX, the US Effective Tariff Rate Index, is an independent, rules-based monthly measure of the duty rate actually paid on US imports — calculated duties as a share of customs value — by country of origin and product chapter, computed from official US Census Bureau trade data. The index prints within a day of each Census trade release, publishes its full methodology, and never restates a settled value.
